It was one of those nights, where the full moon ignites the predatory instinct in both, werewolves and humans alike. I decided to call a friend, as we too hunt in packs, and go on a hunt to score some good food. As I stood outside the place, filling my chest with the misty air, I glimpsed at the bloody moon above one last time, before I started pacing towards the doors while thinking: let the hunt begin. It wasn’t hard choosing the target this time around as I used to wonder, every time I walked by the place and saw the cool logo, when they will open these doors to the public. So, when I heard that they finally opened, it was a no brainer that my hunt for food should start there! And there it was.As soon as I walked through those doors, I knew right then that I was gonna have an experience that was one of a kind. Starting with the prime location overlooking the canal, and not ending with the welcoming smile of the host standing at the doors, and leading you into a world carefully crafted to stimulate one’s senses. The atmosphere was captivating and, while it was actively working on preserving the Qatari traditions, it invoked the finest aspects of modernity. I was impressed to see how much attention paid to details, the fine decor, the colorful furniture, and the elegant dishware all spoke to a fine taste and creative thinking. All the while, the friendly staff successfully made me feel as a guest at their home. Service is quite fast and efficient, as soon as you are done with the menu, your order is in the making. The menu is focused and concentrated, salads, main courses, desserts, and beverages. There is a healthy level of variety in each section on the menu, which made it very comfortable to choose, every time. Starting with the salads, the one that calls on you to order is the Grandma’s salad. Not just because we all love Grandmas, but the idea to have caramelized figs in an eggplant/tomato salad was a mind bomb! It’ll blow you brains out, guaranteed. One other salad that resonated with me, was the beetroot salad. It comes with a cardamom/saffron spiced cheese ball, which sits on slices of beetroot, yummm! Of the main course section, I have two favorites that I can have anytime, day or night, and a third that I would have when I am in the mood for a burger. The Qatari risotto is a wonderful pasta-less risotto, made with jareesh grains instead. The tender chicken cubes and the saffron sauce, will make all the difference for you. The margoug, my second favorite, is dedicated to meat lovers. A lamb shank, slow cooked for 8 hours, topped with Qatari hamsa mix with cinnamon sauce, just to mess with your taste buds. The margoug dough itself is a story to be told. Unlike other pretend Qatari food restaurants, Sadu takes no lazy shortcuts. They don’t use pasta or soaked bread for margoug, instead they make the dough from scratch, like the good old days! When I find myself craving a burger, I head straight to ATK. A truffle infused wagyu triple-cheese burger, that would satisfy you no matter the mood you’re in. It is served with uniquely prepared potato thins, just to elevate the experience a couple of notches up. For full disclosure, your experience at Sadu will not be a problem-free one! You will definitely hit a brick wall, whenever you start thinking of the dessert. I hit that wall so many times, that the only way through it , was to try them all! No kidding, over several visits of course, they all seemed amazing and they all were! This place and my experience in it will top any other by far, and I truly hope that you would have a similar one. I also wish that the Pearl management would be quick with the water taxi stop, so people can enjoy the ride to the restaurant. Alternatively, a free valet parking is available right across. I hope this was helpful, hit me up for any questions!

The Jareesh Tabboulah consists of wheat and has a hint of rose, the Beetroot Salad has a delicious fried cheese ball with cardamom. Sadu offers Qatari cuisine with a modern twist, we enjoyed all dishes and will definitely come back!

The Ambiance was fine, servers were sweet !Ordered: Iced Rose Latte: The Rose Syrup was quiet thick jelly like at the bottom which wasn’t letting me mix it properly, after hard work of mixing it forcefully it clumped & was blocking the straw and i was getting jelly like pieces in my mouth which nobody prefers of course !-Sadu’s Hummus: Honestly i didn’t liked it, it was giving quiet a weird taste, couldn’t eat it more then a bite !-Sadu’s Margoug: It was very bland, no spices nothing, just that pastry shell thing on top was nice!-Sadu’s Burger: My Friend Ordered it & according to her she didn’t liked it, the sauce was nice dw!-Chicken Breast with Macaroni: Honestly i expected it to be really nice, but the chicken breast was very bland, so was the macaroni, i couldn’t taste any spice or salt, didn’t liked it !Over all the experience was not good, sadly we didn’t enjoyed anything to be honest !

We had the Sadu’s Margoug, it’s apparently like lamb bolognese with home made pasta. Really tasty, love that Arabic element taste to it. Price was a little on the high side, but nonetheless a good experience with a pretty setting and friendly staff.
