An excellent night. The truffle honey and salt to start off with are delicious. I enjoyed the cheese soufflé and added a sprinkle of salt to our tuna salad, it was slightly under seasoned. Our mains were without flaw. The staff are great – a big thanks to Bradley and the managers for their gracious service and attentiveness. My one negative feedback, which was well-received, was that the restaurant was too brightly lit for an intimate dinner. I look forward to a second visit.
I had a great dining experience at Sel et Miel. The restaurant’s ambiance is very beautiful & authentic. The food is very delicious & fresh. The waiters are very helpful & friendly. The restaurant manager is extremely decent & humble. He’s showed a great example of teamwork by serving food to clients and cleaning the tables. The hostess is very friendly and smiley. We received a beautiful souvenir from the restaurant with a lovely message. I highly recommend this restaurant and I will sure visit it again. Big thank you to Sel et Miel team.
The atmosphere is quiet the food is delicious the staff are friendly and helpful if you my favorite dish was the duck leg and the truffle honey was sooo good
We recently tried their business lunch and absolutely loved it. The service at the restaurant is great too. In the lunch, our favorites were the onion soup, Hamour, duck confit and the mango sorbet!
Loved the food and service. Authentic French classics! Duck and Beef checks were delicious. Wines from the menu were missing, but I guess all restaurants in Doha have the same issue. Will visit again!
Excellent service with friendly staff! Went for the business lunch and we were not disappointed! The food was impeccably presented with amazing taste! Definitely going to come back for more!
We went for a dinner during the week and unfortunately it’s was a really bad surprise.Service: we were welcomed by nice and helpful waiter but after his shift was over staff completely forgot about us, orders were delayed, drinks served in a strange way – whiskey in the glass full of ice like for coke.As well staff was not informed what ingredients are used in the dishes, what is making them so unique for Sel&Miel or literally what is on the plate (we ordered Planche de charcuterie and it took a manger of the restaurant to get the information what is what on the plate).Food: As we wanted to try as much as we can we decided to order a lot of starters – foie gras, planche de charcuterie, soufflé au fromage, french onion soup, escargots de Bourgogne, tarts flamblee. We really wanted to try croque monsieur but unfortunately, even though manager admitted it’s a bestseller, they didn’t have it.For dessert we got pistachio creme brûlée which makes you miss the old classic, Mille-feuilles which was extremely dry and Tarte tatin with rich ice-cream but this one dish couldn’t make it up for all dinner.Overall food wasn’t outstanding or nothing more than you can’t find already in Doha. Lack of flavors, spices and that feeling that you want to eat more and more.Manager nicely informed us that we made wrong food choices, that’s why we didn’t enjoy our dinner. That definitely wasn’t a way to make us consider another visit in the restaurant.
