I’ve been here 3 times, all for Gathering with friends and not by my own choice of venue. Coming from Malaysia myself, I have to say the food is not up to par. Far from what you can get back home and not even hotel standard. The only acceptable value for money option is breakfast combo where I opt for nasi lemak and it comes with tea and juice. The recent buffet spread I tasted during Eid was disappointing to say the least. All meats on skewers were dry and tasteless, I can’t even remember any tasty dish that I had that day. Only saving grace was the desserts section, esp the ice kacang. The chef better step up their game and stop spoiling the beautiful Malaysian cuisine.
Having dined here before or rather for function. I was remembering those flavours and variety so we decided to try the hi-tea which is only available every Saturdays and I must say my family and I were dissapointed. Variety was less, some of the dishes though looked delicious were overcooked (lamb, seafood skewers and some pieces of the roasted chicken). Lamb kuzi was lacking in flavours. The plusses were the salad, Arabic mezze, sushi and assortment of cakes. Also tried mee rebus tho it’s not Haji Wahid style but still ok. Maybe a bigger bowl would have been more suitable. Ais kacang was ok. It would be good if the chefs or pic was actually manning both the stalls as I observed some guests wanting to try but there wasn’t anyone there and u had to call out for assistance. Thanks to mybook app otherwise it’s a waste. If they purely do a Malaysian hi-tea then maybe I’ll be back.
Had our Christmas Eve dinner there on the 24th December 2019. Ordered satay but what was served was appalling. As you can see in the photo attached, it doesn’t even resemble the satay I know and definitely did not taste like the one that i use to have back home in Malaysia.
Loved the food . It was tastyIt was more of Arabic food .. well cooked and well presentedParking was not problem as we can use holiday villa parking
Saturday Malaysia lunch is very reasonably priced, 30-40qr for chicken or duck and noodle/rice with wantan soup. Tastes good too.A la carte is bit pricey but tastes good.
Been here for Breakfast while I was enjoying my stay at Holiday Villa last month . They have a huge variety of options ranging from Salads and fruits to Indian curries and roti , South indian varieties , breads , egg livestation , Rice , Fresh juices and beverages with a perfect view to the pool . The staff is very helpful and welcoming . Too much options of food with great taste and good value for money
