Village Restaurant is very nice place to dine in and if you are American breakfast lover than you must visit this place. We love their buffet. Ala carte and breakfast usually we visit them for breakfast.
I went there last weekend. I can’t rate there food because i left the restaurant after facing the unprofessional staff. Even once I asked the waiter to give me the manager contact number he refused!!!
Not cheap but very good and great portion sizes. The top floor even offers you a glance of the souq. Good family or friends experience you will remember.
The food is expensive but you will be blown away by the taste of it. We had the chicken curries, amritsari and butter both of which were great. The biryani rice was very good and i am expecting their biryani would be marvelous since only the rice was damn good. The main highlights were the kebab platter and Pide’s (fatayer) which had our mouths watering. I haven’t had fatayer which was superb in a long time now and the mutton in the kebab platter was awesome..i was surprised to eat it as there was no smell like in Australian/US mutton or beef which really had me stunned. All in all a 5 star experience along with a great Ambience and the hostess were very attentive. Beware their portion size is extremely huge, order with care.
The only thing I like here is chickeb tikka biryani.. the chicken just melts in your mouth. The only trick is to explain the chef how you like it and he will do. I can vouch for Souq Branch than the rest. The manager is very pleasant and helpful. Though it is overpriced.. can go for dine in for soecial occassions.
Came to this place with high hopes but it was a huge dissapointment. the basic Naan was so rubbery. We ordered mixed kebab plate & all the things on the plate was smelling like lamb even the chicken. We then ordered chicken tandoori biryani which again had a loss of flavours. And ofcourse the price is too much for the quality of food they serve. So look before you go!!
Ordered Amritsar Butter Chicken. The curry is terrible and it’s loaded with orange color that our hands are stained. It seems like we are eating Orange color. Had to throw away the curry ! Not expected from your restaurant as we’ve usually enjoyed our food there ! But this ridiculous amount of food color is unacceptable!
