Tucked away inside the Sharq is this lovely cozy cafe. I happened to be there and found the coffee and food quite good. The service was great too. The prices are definitely quite high as compared to cafe/ lounge of same level. I ordered a cafe mocha and a shawarma.

After a good dinner at Al liwan we were hypnotized by the live Arabic band sound coming from this lounge.A zither musician and another multi instrument professional (Oud and another instrument) were playing famous Arabic songs and popular music and they were extremely friendly that they played what we asked for with welcoming and big smile that we appreciate their work. The ambience and decoration was awesomely awesome 🙂 and the drinks options was a little bit different.I tried a herbal blend I used to drink somewhere else called (tcaba) 1001 night and it was very good here also.Total experience was perfect and I’m sure to come back
After all this time, Al Jalsa still stands out as one of the most elegant, beautifully appointed cafes that is regal yet relaxing. I’ve never been for anything apart from afternoon tea, which is top notch because of the signature Ritz Carlton scones. A perfect spot to take guests just as they arrive in Doha or before sending them off at the airport. A special Doha experience for sure. boulangerry.com
One of the most beautiful hotel cafes in Doha, this outlet never fails to make me feel a little bit special. Whether for a coffee and cake or their lush Royal Afternoon Tea it’s a lovely experience. Recently tried their tea and there scones were fluffy and he macarons the desired crunch and chew. Instead of sandwiches they had inventive little canapés with smoked salmon, shrimp and quails eggs. The selection of teas is vast but I always go for 1001 Nights blend which is a fragrant black tea. This is a lovely venue for a gathering with friends and if you go for the tea you get a red rose when you leave!
