Unattentive service. I was waiting for a while until I grabbed a menu by myself. Immediately one waiter approached me and asked me if I want to order a smoothie and I told him that I am holding the menu for 30 seconds in my hands and havent checked all the pages, but he informed me that anything with salmon is not available anymore. I ordered a tumeric latte and Jbeil Bowl with zaatar chicken. The bowl was indeed delicious, interesting mix of veggies combined with a nice tahina sauce. The annoying part in the restaurant was the waiter who is super gay and how he talked was already a pain in the ears and they played also horrible music. Nice interior design though.
Going into Soul Bowl, I had already known that the food was going to be a visual treat from their instagram page. However, I was thoroughly impressed by the embodiment of the concept. Be it in the organic aesthetics of design, the simple fabrics on the staff or the healthy, healing vibes of the ambience. There is well rounded thought gone into every aspect of the restaurant. And we haven’t even gotten to the food yet.The food menu continues to lay bare the aspiration behind the food I.e. To be able to fill the soul. A holistic approach to the soul through food is the best way to describe this. The Food is, much like the name, served in a bowl. 1 bowl for one person, having all you need to enjoy the wholesome experience of your choice of food. In our case, my wife went for the Lima Bowl, a smoothie bowl and I choose the Petra Bowl, a breakfast bowl.It was satisfying to me on a very deep level and was left longing to come back another time.Brilliant concept, simple structure of thought, elegant in execution.
