They have a good Egyptian-style seafood menu and I love it. We have always ordered for takeaway so I don’t have much to say about the ambiance but from what I have seen in the entrance, it’s not quite so inviting. But what they lack for that, they sure made up for it in taste and presentation. I love that we can call and ask them how we want the fish to be cooked. I also love the seafood soup (chowder). Always ordering here for a seafood fix 🙂
– This branch is the oldest, known for Egyptian seafood, one of the best in Doha, but this review isn’t about seafood, it’s about the lately added menu (Tajines – طواجن).- Tajine means the cuisine cooked in the oven in a clay pot. It gives a magnificent taste with keeping the food hot for long time.- Simply, the lunch menu is for 60 QR, contents of (1 Tajine of your selection + 1 rice plate + 1 soup + 1 small desert Tajine). The quality was surprising, although they are specialists only in fishes.- Service is slow, interior design is neglected but the dinning area is big specially the upper level.- My rating = 4/5=Food (2.5/3) + values (1/1) + ambiance & hospitality (0.5/1)- Recommendations:1. I ordered one extra rice & one desert but they didn’t add to the bill. Thanks to the manager.2. For desert tajine, they have 2 options (Omm Ali / milky rice), please choose the first one.
Yes, seafood is in the good hands here!!Varying from swimming fishes, tentacled flyers, crawling decapods and lazy clams; the marines are pretty decent diverse.Add a touch with sensible appetizer, yummy soup and ‘if you wish so’ a classical main course, you will have delightful tastebuds.Be sure to spend right amount of time with right people.Ratings:Food quality: 3.5Hygiene: 4.0Service: 4.0Decor: 2.5Price: 3.5Improve On:The facade is just another. A moderate touch up, especially ceiling and lightings (Seatings and presentation) is essential.Service time has to be geared up.Price can be reduced though it’s justifiable.Mainly the taste and quality are satisfactory and has potential to be better.
again and again, some places are going down by their own, the location should make him one of the busiest, but unfortunately If you tried the old and first branch it will make you dislike the place, to be honest the place itself is better than the old one as a place but when it comes to food and service no, what I really don’t like when a place have to open other branches they miss one of the key elements which is quality assurance , service was slow, taste for some dishes is ok but need a lot of improvement, my advise is to train the staff and the chef to be like the old branch.
