Tried Indian food several times during the year, I have never thought I would like it even though the spices are really overemphasized. This is the cheapest version of their traditional cuisine. Timothy Carr went there to order our dinner and took Chicken Biryani rice, Chili chicken and Chapati bread. I really have to say that servings were in huge amount for the cost of 22 riyals. But you can’t expect much more from them as they offers really good deal. The Chicken Biryani was okay, it was tender and flavorful, had to try the orange thing which is the chili chicken whatever, caught my mouth on fire all the way down to my stomach as if I swallowed a burning oil! Had runny nose after munching them. But all was fine. Had a satisfied tummy though hesaidshesaiddoha.com
The place is a few buildings down from my flat so I went grab some food for Jhona Tan and I. It is always packed. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a woman in there. Total sword show. I’d imagine it would be fairly disconcerting to sit there and be the only woman. But I digress. The place is no frills and pure functionality. Zero atmosphere. You go in tell them your order and wait. I’ve never dined in as it just doesn’t have that I want to sit here and eat feel. I ordered Chicken Buryani, Spicy Chilli Chicken with rice and Chapati bread. It was only 22 QAR. The seeing sizes are nice. The quality is alright. The flavor isn’t bad. The chicken tends to be over cooked. The rice is pretty good but clumpy. Like it had been sitting in a container and not stirred. The bread was really good though. It’s alright for a quick cheap bite. Way cheaper than a lot of other places who serve the same. hesaidshesaiddoha.com
