Trying a new place in town in Msheireb Downtown. I haven’t been able to eat out or go out much in the last two months. As husband is still out of Qatar, today a lovely mother/daughter lunch at Le Colonial. With daughter loving eggs Benedict this was a good choice. I had the Royal Egg Benedicts with salmon, English muffin, truffle and hollandaise sauce, while daughter chose the Garlicky one with Garlic Labneh and olive tapenade. They were light and cooked the way we wanted. We both loved our choices. The Scrigno Berry Cream French toast was also very nice and lovely. Many times I find French toasts too soaked and heavy that make me full right away. This one was not like this. I have to say I was impressed. It takes a bit long in between dishes, but staff is nice and the place is pleasant. Nice to know there is a lovely choice for lunch in this part of town. Bill hits Doha’s average.
