Visited there for a take out of iftaar. They have made a extension to their restaurant for iftaar customers, which is a great idea as there were a lot of them. And it’s easy to choose that way. The service is swift and efficient, eager to help. The iftaar items were satisfactory, the kebab was flavorful, tried only the mutton variety. There’s also fish kebab. The potato ‘Chop’ with a whole boiled egg inside also tasted nice, and very filling on its own. I really loved the Jilapi, juicy and crisp. The Biriyani is great, and really is a Biriyani (not meat covered with scented rice). The rice carries the flavor of the meat and the meat is tender. And the serving is plenty for just 13 rials. It’s off the central road of Najma, and quite isolated from the busy locale. Families will be more comfortable with take-out. Recommended.Edit: This place is extremely busy on the morning, and for good reason. Paratha, both oily and non oily varieties, were great. We ordered something light, a Dal & Vegetable mix. It was delicious.

Great food. The biryani was excellent. Great flavor and tender meat. The proportions could me altered to make the meat and rice combination a little even as they serve way too much rice. The sweets today were soft as they were fresh. Great place for singles but for families it’s better to take out. This type of biryani is available only on Friday just during lunch hour.

When it comes to Bangladeshi sweets, number one in Qatar was Modhubon Baleela Restaurant. However, recently the quality of sweets at Modhubon has gone down and the Welfare Restaurant has become the best producer of Bangladeshi sweets. The other thing this restaurant make well are vegetable singara and mughlai paratha. The restaurant is also known as ‘Anondo’. The Bangla word ‘anondo’ means ‘delight’ in English.
