Very dissapointed and not worth for money. I tried the take away in this restaurant today. I ordered the grilled fish with fries and shrimps. This is the worst experience i have ever had in Doha. Three very small size grilled fish pieces, three shrimps, few chips and two peices of cucumber in a big box with two arabic breads for 35 riyals. No salad or fish there for the price. If i buy fresh raw fish i could buy a whole fish for this amount. Fish tastes watery. Never going back.
There are times when before writing a review you need to revisit the subject twice over, especially when the restaurant in question in tucked in obscurity and now partially camouflaged by roadworks.Welcome to Fast Fish, a place for fish and sea-food lovers. The tiny shack has around six cabins draped in thick blue curtains and minimalistically decorated with taste.Once you settle and run through the two page pictorial menu, comes hot flat breads with a garlic-mayoneiss sauce. The menu is simple, grilled fish of different varieties served with white rice (saluted in butter?), French fries and salad. In my two visits we had white fish, shrimp, harrah, mixed seafood and mixed lobster – which translates to roughly 90%of the menu. They also serve meat kebabs, but who cares. All were grilled to perfection and superbly tasty. The harrah comes with a spicy, very spicy, tomato curry/paste which I absolutely dig and goes very well with the rice. The place is simply a food lovers paradise and these gastronomes want to keep it a well kept secret. The prices are modest, QAR 25+ onwards, but when and where in life taste comes cheap.Love the place and pinned down.Do visit if you love fish and will never regret.
