The good points:*food was good, miso soup tasted authentic*portions were healthy*service was goodCan be improved:*ambiance. The design is very outdated and doesn’t really befit hotel standards. It needs a major revamp.*music. The music was not so nice and does not suit this restaurant. Even spotify has better tracks for music. It was a bit too loud and the choice of music could’ve been better, like instrumental oriental music, not j-pop songs.To us it’s worth the price if you have the entertainer.Overall, I can go back if I want to have my Japanese fix.
We quite liked the sushi we ordered here the portions are huge!The mains were not upto the mark. But I have to say their servers and service are both great!
Even after using Entertainer vouchers for four persons, bills still turned out to be 120QR per pax for mediocre Jap dinner. Not impressed with taste and quality. You can get better elsewhere. Need to improve to keep up with the competitors.
The quality of the meat, prawns and japanese food was excellent at Sakura but not inexpensive. And, the sake was average and way expensive. The experience, though, with your chef preparing your food on the grill and the quality was well worth the cost. Wonderful option when in Doha for some good japanese options!
Good food and attentive service, the taste is very Japanese original so 100% recommended. Teppanyaki is most special and highlight for that.
Place was really cool, good place to go with friend s to eat and chat. I ordered one sushi menu and bento box. Sushi menu was weak, as a sushi lover i expect more sushi and less nigiri and sashimi. However Bento box was really delicious. They served salad with a tasty special soup. Then, misi soup it was good just like all other miso soups. Shrimp tempura was so good with teriyaki souce that i can say i ate all 🙂 beef marinated with vegies was also delicious. Sushi in bento box was below avarage. If you are looking for only sushi maybe you should go with sushi menu only not boxes.
