Seems that the restaurant chief never saw Maqloubeh in his life, what we received was a rice with two slices of eggplant, the Laban Salad was so light almost water with a spoon of yogurt, its a crime for Maqloobeh
Tried mansaf meal from Mansaf House Food & Catering with few colleagues and though the rice was good and the jameed was acceptable but I didn’t like the meat much. One of my friends insist that the mansaf here is the best in Qatar so I will try again to confirm or to change my opinion.
– Mansaf is one of the gorgeous & authentic Arabic cuisines that is not widely available in Doha. It’s basmati rice cooked with milk / stock, topped by nuts & raisin beside the soft mutton or chickens, accompanied by that milky sauce called Jamid.- It’s just a kitchen, not restaurant, no dining area. The food is good & tasted like homemade with sufficient portions & suitable rates. Mansaf was one of the best but Chicken_Mesakhan was just ok, I’ve had soo much better.- My rating = 4/5=Food (3/4) + values (1/1)- Recommendations:1. The location is villa facing the main road but the entrance is from behind, it’s confusing to find it out while driving.- Tagline:Authentic outlet for a rare cuisine.
We ordered Mansaaf and stuffed grape leaves. And chicken sumack. The portions were generous . The quality of the food was absolutely fantastic. My father is from Jordan and he found it delicious. Delivery was on time. We would highly recommend this restaurant.
I orderd mansaf meal and ouzi and kafta with tahina the size of meal was really big , the meat is great but the only thing u can taste is cardamom alot of cardamom in ouzi and kafta
Today we had a mansaf war in the office :DWe really need a sleeping room after this heavy meal. (Special thanks to Kamal Elgarhy for organising this event)Mansaf will always be faty and smelly,That need a real foodie to finish the Jumbo size, But Mansaf House really know how to perfectly cook it.Kofta with tahina was good but little salty and oily, the white rice with vermicelli looks very Egyptian.Mesakhan was good for non foodies.I still can’t take deep breath as being fully full and need a double shot of black coffee to complete the day :)Taste 4/5Quality 3.5/5Service & Cleanness 3/5Value for money 4/5
this time was specially for A Nagah we tried mansaf, kofta with tahini, messakhan and yougurt salad, mansaf was perfect as usual, fresh bread topped with rice with roasted almond and soft pieces of lamb with the special sauce gemeed, messakhan was normal, we can say it’s little bit oily from inside, the yogurt salad was perfect and the kofta I tried it before, but for me mansaf is the best in that place.when it comes to the level of hungry I was, they rescue me every time, I tried a lot of dishes but unfortunately took a 3 pictures only, rice and beef kofta with tomatoes and beef kofta with tahini, the rice was perfect you feel it home made, kofta with tomatoes was regular not the best, beef kofta with tahini was fantastic secret ingredients but I taste it :), simply wow, also I tried mansaf this the star dish they have, but if you are not very hungry don’t try to order unless you will share it with someone because the portions are really huge.
