A well decorated cafe, with some amazingly good staff and an even better dessert counter. Decided to have a late lunch here after recommendations from a friend and wasn’t disappointed, for the most part.We tried the spicy cheese fries which was nice. It’s fries and cheese. Hard to get wrong there (I think). The risotto sticks were a bit of a downer. I was very excited to try it out when I saw it on the menu. But it neither tasted like a risotto nor for me excited for a fried finger food. It sort of left me in a space in between them.We tried the mushroom omelette which very good. The portion for the omelette was huge. Probably good for two to eat as a main.We also were very excited about another dish on the menu – cheesy chicken rice. Three of my favorite things in one dish – yay! But after we had a taste of it, it all kinda took every bit of my excitement out. The chicken was a bit too dry. The cheese and rice combination didn’t go quiet well. Overall, the dish kinda lost the identity for which it was intended.Moving on to the dessert, we tried the fried toblerone bar. It’s very chocolaty (duh!). I really enjoy chocolate so I liked it. Was crispy outside and gooey inside. The highlight for my experience was the Mille Feuille. A soft pasty with some cream filling and strawberry. It’s a very light dessert to have after a meal. Complete opposite of what the toblerone does to you. Very much the star of the lunch!
Loved our visit to Cafe Coco. This place always seems to be full. The decor and interior is so pretty and the ambience is super nice. We ordered the shrimp risotto sticks, chicken sliders, shrimp lollipop and the eggs Benedict. Everything tasted great. A bit on the pricy side and while the portion sizes look small, they’re actually quite filling.
