Cafeneaua Veche is the oldest cafe in Bucharest, housed by a historical monument that still preserves its bohemian and romantic atmosphere. Cafeneaua Veche was founded in 1781 and historically attested in 1812.In its 200 year history it was the meeting place for the greatest Romanian personalities of their time, such as the poet Mihai Eminescu, the writer I.L.Caragiale and even Romanian royalty.
