About
A stunning beautiful venue on the edge of the park, very close to the city centre. Carol Park was designed by a French landscape artist at 1900 and was inaugurated six years later on the 40th anniversary of the coronation of King Carol I. The place is located on water, over a little lake and under a bridge built in 1906 by Gogu Constantinescu, Romanian architect and inventor. It is the first arched bridge made in Europe from reinforced concrete. The terrace is a perfect place where you can spend a lazy day or where to listen to musicians playing all kind of live music in the evenings. You can enjoy a large variety of wines ( local or international), fresh made coffees, lemonade and smoothies, along with a delicious home made food or barbecues or sweets. You can also have a great time by watching the ducks, the geese and the turtles that are living here. A great place that you will love from the first time!
