About
The White Sun of the Desert Restaurant is ideally situated in Neglinnaya Street, one of the oldest streets of the capital, and is not far away from the centre with the Bolshoi Theatre, Red Square and The Kremlin. The restaurant is named after the legendary Soviet film of the 1970-es - Beloye Solntse Pustyni (White Sun of the Desert). The interior and its oriental design revive the atmosphere of the film: a summer garden with peacocks, walls and floors decorated with hand-made carpets. Three tiny halls are separated from each other by screens, which makes you believe that you are in a Tajik saklia (house). The walls are coarse beige. The tables are put on a boat in one of the rooms. Theres a pool with sturgeons in the middle of the room. Uzbek, Oriental and Chinese Cuisine. Specialties of the house: Zhauaneh - chicken wings with garlic cream-sauce, pilaw, shashlik on live coals, various salads and appetizers, Uzbek soups, "lagman", which is a dish made of Uzbek noodles, and more. Every evening: belly dancing, live music.
