Had a chance to visit Hvala Chijmes. The cafe is crowded even on weekday night. Along a walkway of restaurants, bars and cafes, Hvala is easily recognisable. While the space is not huge, I like the fact there are cosy corners at the cafe to chill over some drinks and desserts.They served signature tea infused drinks and cake selections. The Iced Matcha Hojicha Latte which comes in a beautiful and distinct three layers texture before mixing. For cakes, they have a few choices but I would recommend to try the Goma Cake.I strongly recommend this cafe for tea drinkers and chilling session with friends!
The matcha latte was not too bad with a strong tea taste to it. Store also has a wide selection of different matcha. The service is amazing, the staff prepares the drink right in front of you freshly whisking the matcha with the small wooden whisk thing. I also tried their Yuki matcha and loved it.
Pretty good matcha and houjicha ice cream. I’d be interesting in trying out their latte range. A pity they don’t serve waffles anymore. But I felt slightly cheated when I realised there was a hollow middle in the swirl, so I go less ice cream than I’d expected to.
Bought one cheesecake from here, it was a three layer cake with softness of cheese on the top and sweet cream with cherry on cheese, the lower bottom was a bit hard but taste good, also the packaging was good and it kept the cake in good condition.
The best place for matcha enthusiasts in Singapore. There’s nothing like this in Singapore. Their matcha soft serve and drink is so strong, less sweet and authentic. Their Houjicha is the best in Singapore.
For lover matcha like me, I’ve should try this while I am on vacation in Singapore, Was having ice latte matcha the taste is pretty nice, and the places abit crowded even in day time. Overall recomended to try! Honestly these has been open in Jakarta but I’ve just knew it after went back lol
