I came to Grahamstown for the day to watch some of the shows during the Arts Festival. We came here firstly, for lunch and I had a bacon, avo and feta pizza, that was nice but the pizza crust was incredibly thin. We came again for dinner and I am so disappointed in the food. I ordered a sirloin steak and it was horrid, the steak was extremely hard and my jaw got exhausted from chewing it. The service was really slow and our food took ages to come to us. The place is cosy as there is a fire place where you can sit and every your food by. Overall, really bad dining experience, doubt I’m coming back next time I’m in town.

Can’t beat their setting in the middle of the school fields.  Tonnes of space with lush lawns and some pretty lush furniture.  I’m under the impression that the restaurant runs at a loss on their pizzas (?just a guess?).  Maybe the restaurant is funded by the school, because the ingredients for the pizzas seem waaaay too expensive for how little they  charge.  We have been a few times, almost always to chow some of the st-Andrews-subsidised-pizzas hahahhaha.  service is also notably brilliant
The best service I have ever had in Grahamstown. The waiter was super professional and the pizza was light and tasty (just as the Italians intended). Love the atmosphere because it’s hardly ever full and it’s elegantly decorated.
