My favourite spot in FS, I have to stop at picnic when I’m in town for the best organic food. Great tasting food, good service and very good prices.
Service is impeccable from all the waitresses! They have mostly been there since the store opened. The food is decent portions and fairly priced in proportion to the size of the portions. If we are in Bloem, we definitely make a stop here, if not for food, definitely for their cakes! Their Milk tart is to die for and the white chocolate cake as well. I can go on and on just about the cakes! Make sure you take some nougat for take away. We have their platters often, usually a meat platter and a cheese platter. Good size and good homemade condiments. If you are a lover of bacon, make sure you get there before 11am to have one of their breakfasts with bacon in it, you get a whole heap of it!
Used to enjoy popping in for breakfast with my family whenever we are in town, but I must say the service and the quality has deteriorated since the last time we popped in. I found the food to be quite bland and underwhelming.Also, I’ve never been a fan of their trading hours, but then again it is Bloem.
Really excellent breakfasts to choose from. The friendly staff were attentive and the lovely setting a pleasure. Couldn’t ask for more on a Sunday morning.
This place has great coffee and is awesome to heat up on a cold winter morning. There are a lot of freshly baked goodies that might lead you into temptation very quickly!
