The 3* is for the food. I went twice to confirm how I truly feel about it.I went for dinner and brunch. At the dinner, I had oxtail. It did not go down well. The potatoes in the oxtail stew were overcooked and had become mashed in the stew. The only good thing about my dish was the potatoe mash it came with, that was great. We also ordered pork belly and steak with garlic sauce and those were okay, borderline good. The malva pudding was over baked and very sweet. I regret not opting for the cakes they had on display (maybe I will go back for that). When I went back for brunch, I had the deep fried chicken wings and hand cut chips. Even though the chips were big cuts, they were cooked through well and the wings were a great nibble. The view took the cup though as the restaurant is over a golf course. The restaurant is family friendly and somewhat romantic enough for a birthday/anniversary dinner.Serengeti Golf and Wildlife Estate is quite a drive, if you do not happen to be there or around the area, the food and service (or lack thereof) alone is not worth the trip.Rather consider a round of golf as well.

This was the first time we’ve tried this restaurant and were very pleased! At no stage did we feel rushed, and the food and service was brilliant. The menu isn’t very big, but it caters for all tastes and budgets. The same can be said for the wine list. We had a good meal comprising starters, main course and dessert with a bottle of wine for around R700 – tip included.
