Run by two true friendly afrikaans ladies with a passion for what they do.Boere Sjabi Sjik caters for events like kitchen tea’s and birthdays too. Each plate is served decorated with it’s own creativity, and is oh so pleasant to look at.*New* and improved coffee with a proper coffee and cuppacino maker.Cakes are deliciously fresh and home made so may vary weekly. Well worth the price when slice is presented.Atmosphere is stunning, outside seating available. And on your way out, you can browse around their arty shop
Nice little cafe hidden away on the one side of a converted house in Monument road. The food (basic menu) was actually amazing, chicken mayo toasted and phyllo were so tasty! Their cake, lemon meringue was also brilliant! Coffee was ok (decaf that my wife had tasted to her like the instant sachets). I actually enjoyed it and will go back, but they added a 10% tip to the bill (for 2 people). I always give a tip and generally always give more than 10%, but there is just something not right with forcing a tip on someone (unless big tables) so I was pretty put off by that. Other than that, enjoyed the food and cake enough to want to go back, such good flavours!
