Keeping in mind that I am Portuguese and this restaurant claims to be a Portuguese restaurant. The food was very disappointing and nothing about it was Portuguese. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, but unfortunately our waitron was inexperienced. Most of us had to repeat our orders or portions of the order as details were taken down incorrectly or certain things were completely missed. Then the food, even though everyone at the table felt the food fell short or was plain bad – let me focus on my experience. My medium-rare “Portuguese” steak was rare/blue so done poorly. The recipe was a steak, topped with bacon (instead of Parma ham, or the ‘cheap alternative’ – ham) and came with a sauce that was attempting to be what it should be but was rather wrong. Short of that, my chips were also undercooked.Lastly, I tried one of their Pastéis de Nata that our waitron advertised their freshness so I thought I would give them a chance. They were not good. The pastry was not crispy, they custard was way too sweet (and I have a sweet tooth). They also brought ice cream with it which was strange since that’s not how they are served.Such a pity.
