So we decided to give this place a try on heritage day. It’s been around the neighbourhood for many years and always had a good reputation and especially since its lasted this long. It was rather quiet being a public holiday and there were not many people there. A few inside drinking by the bar and some even gambling on the crazy slots. It now also has live entertainment on weekends and we also noticed a sign for a talent show. The menu didn’t seem too bad and had the usual pub food. For drinks we ordered a dom Pedro and milk shake a beer and a coke. Dom Pedro didn’t have much Cape velvet flavour and the lime milkshake was like milk. We ordered very easy quick items or so we thought. 2 x burgers mine with bacon as well. 1 x toasted bacon and egg and 1 chicken basket and chips. Considering this place was empty we waited more than 45 minutes for our food. Our waitress even though she was sweet was MIA most of the time and we couldn’t find her nor did anyone come and checkup on us at all. Food didn’t look as appealing on arrival especially for the time it took to prepare it. It was edible. We just ate and left and definitely won’t be going back there.
