We have been here a few times, most of the time we are a pretty large group as we go with family normally and the food and dessert are really good. A fabulous setting. Someting unique. Sometimes there is a bit of a misunderstanding with the waiter, but the food makes up for everything !
I had regularly driven past this coffee shop and not knowing who Frida was and wondering who would name a coffee shop after such an austere looking woman had never been to visit. It intrigued me enough to Google who she was and on the recommendation of a friend I made a point of going there for a lunch. Once inside the premises I was most pleasantly surprised. It’s very bright and colorful and a lovely garden setting. The food was delicious and waiters attentive and friendly. Definitely a place to visit.
This was my first time at Frida’s and everyone has raved about it so I had high expectations and yes the food was great, the atmosphere was awesome, the staff friendly however we went there for breakfast and I was unable to part take in their breakfast menu as I am allergic to eggs and to my disappointment they don’t offer a replacement. We were told by the waiter that they’ve been told that if someone is allergic to eggs there is nothing they can do. They don’t offer replacements. I was highly disappointed at that as I could’ve easily have gone to Spur or Wimpy as they have no problem replacing my eggs with mushrooms. I was so looking forward to having a proper breaksfast but I won’t pay for something I can’t eat. So would I go back, yes but not for breakfast. Would I recommend them yes, just not to anyone with an allergy to eggs.
Yay! I’m so excited to see that Frida’s is on Zomato. This is one of the places that visitors in the country would appreciate, as well as locals. Their menu is extensive, with large portions. I particularly like the nachos. And the actual space is quite special, it’s like a Frida Kahlo shrine, and they have a little section with several books and a comfy couch. The owners and the waiters are friendly, and I appreciate that they can recommend dishes to try out. Their chocolate cake rivals mine, nomnomnom.
