Fantastic food severely hampered by excruciatingly slow and unresponsive service.As an example, I downloaded this app, created an account, found the restaurant name and wrote this review in the time it took us to get the food menus, let alone order any drinks or food.I hope it can improve as Cremalat itself is a very nice spot to go eat at!
I will definitely be back to try their pastas for lunch and I’ve heard that their lemon meringue is the best. The deli is great for all things Italian (breads, local and imported olives, the best cheeses, meats, coffee and more). The restaurant is pretty and the coffee amazing. I had a French toast special. Yummy!

The best Italian restaurant on the East Rand, and definitely one of the very best in Joburg! I go there whenever I feel like great Italian food, but don’t feel like driving to Tortellino D’Oro or Franco’s Pizzeria. Cremalat’s Formaggi pasta is so decadent, and is heaven for cheese lovers like myself! The deli stocks top-quality cheeses, and you can definitely taste the difference. Their salmon penne is also outstanding, as is their tiramisu! It is great value for money! Jamie’s Eatalian could definitely learn a thing or two from Cremalat. Italians certainly do it better!
