Also known as the local. A pub where everybody knows your name. Definitely a tight knit community here where all tables seem to interact. Several TVs up showing all the big games – be prepared for some banter. If you a sore loser then this isn’t the place for you. Basic yet decent pub menu – build your own baskets and toasties vibe. Great prices on booze and food. Staff are wonderful and take the time to learn your face and order so never expect to wait – you will be served before walking in the door. Basic décor but always clean – love that for a real mans mans pub they have taken the time to really try make the ladies room feminine

Barrels is the best. Don’t miss the quiz night every second Thursday. The owners are friendly, prices are good, food is perfectly fine for a chilled pub vibe and they sell quarts!! Perfect if you’re looking for a geezer local. Too lekker.

After recently moving into this area we figured we would pop in to try out this unassuming pub one day. The staff are friendly, the prices are great and the food is everything you would want from standard pub fare. The outdoor beer garden is a great place to chill on a sunny day and the fire and heaters are roaring on the cold winter nights. Very pleased to have this pub as my new local. And they sell beers in quarts!

Although the steel security gates at the entrance may force you to take a step back, the garden courtyard lurking behind the dimly lit bar is a reason to visit. A great little neighborhood pub, nothing fancy, value for money and unpretentious
