Lovely little cafe situated conveniently close to the Spruit, and so the perfect pitstop before or after some exercise. Their menu is fairly varied, with a good selection of sweet and savoury options and is very reasonably priced. We had a full breakfast, which wasn’t on the menu, but recommended by our waiter which we both really enjoyed. Only downfall was the poor service from our waiter (who we had to get up from our table to find for menus, placing orders, getting the bill etc).

After a very early morning start to a mock rescue challenge and 20 odd kms later, our ending point was The Trailhead in Blairgowrie, and what a welcome end point it was. There was really cold cold-drinks, and a selection of breakfasts on offer. The group decided toasted sandwhiches would probably be the easiest, and even with the massive group, the food was served in a very timely mannor, and still served hot. The toasted cheese and tomato had lots of cheese, and wasn’t overly toasted, which was pretty much perfect for me. The coffees took a little longer, but when there are 14 different orders, I’m sure it could be expected. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the venue is set just off the river, with lovely shading trees and beautiful views.Definitely a lovely dog friendly setting, and worth a visit, whether it is before or after a good bit of exercise along the river banks.

Awesome Banting Breakfast after our mountain bike ride. Simple yet satisfying. Good service and generous portions. Happy morning in beautiful surroundings.
