Quick and easy! Good food for me when I’m on a budget. The fish is always so fresh. The food court has a nice relaxing vibe and the Fishaways is always inviting when you are so hungry from shopping all day.
I ordered 2 medium grilled fish and chips, 1 calamari and 1 large grilled hake. Both the medium fish were raw and mushy at the tail end of the fish. After my daughters had eaten some they realized there was something wrong with it. I went back to the store who proceeded to tell me that since we had eaten some they couldn’t replace or do anything about it. Unacceptable.
I never saw the fishaways food concept before during my travels across several countries. I ate at several of their restaurants in Jo’burg and tried almost all their food items; liked their food. A good choice if you are not worried about fried food.
This is a very good option for quick lunch in sandton mall. I usually don’t prefer fish but i loved fish and chips at fishaways. I always prefer hake and chips combo here.
