Since moving to its new location Kong Thai regulars can now enjoy their favourite Asian dishes in spacious surrounds with views across the suburbs. With a combination of multiple dining areas, functions can easily be arranged by owner Betty and her team. Large functions up to 150 can be held in the main restaurant area, plus there are 3 private dining rooms accommodating up to 12 people for more intimate functions, plus a separate enclosed smoking section which can seat 30. The extensive menu of starters, soups, innumerable chicken, pork, beef, duck and seafood dishes also offers more unusual specialties such as the shredded pork with spiced bean curd, seasonal vegetables with preserved egg in soup, and diced chicken with pickled pepper and black fungus to mention but a few. The reasonably priced sushi menu includes clam, eel, and crab caviar as well as the more familiar sashimi, nigiri, maki, fashion sandwich and hand roll combinations.
