Really didn’t enjoy my food. Chicken mayo wasn’t deboned properly. Toast was burned. Not great tasting. Dissapointing experience. Would reconsider going back.

I believe its a bakery and grocery shop and has a small kitchen serving food to people. I went with my wife and kid for breakfast and ordered Stacked Halloumi Hashbrown for my wife and Bread and Basket Breakfast for me. Kid usually is not into eating food and always prefer snacks. This time we all enjoyed the food. The mushrooms were really yummy. Really enjoyed breakfast and would go there once again.

I have to say I’m thoroughly impressed with The Bread Basket. I’ve been twice now and both times I’ve found the quality of their food to be consistently good, and for quite low prices too considering how much food you actually pay for. They could easily tack on a further R10-15 and it would still be fantastic value for money. I would recommend the Beef Flatbread, and the Butter Chicken Bunny Chow, which comes in a fresh roll with various sambal-type condiments on the side. If you’re in the mood for an obscene amount of sugar, in the best way, I’d also go for the Banana and Peanut Butter French Toast Croissant for dessert if you have room left after a main. My only complaint is that it can get a bit noisy considering there’s also a store on location and can get a little crowded at times, but the din is avoidable if you sit outside the main cafe on the mezzanine.I’m a big fan and will definitely continue to stop by for a quick bite if I’m in the area.

Limited eat in menu, particularly for vegetarians, but good food and portions are sizeable given the high prices making it a good breakfast alternative to Tasha’s.Chicken livers with an added poached egg was good but hotter than expected with lots of chopped red chillies added.Pity the waiter didn’t know the difference between an Americano and a filter coffee, arriving at the table with a filter coffee which miraculously turned into an Americano when I said that I ordered an Americano, not a filter coffee.
