Service: Stopped by Pantry for brunch after hearing positive things about it. The waitress was friendly, and was excellent in the way she gave space but also came to check up on me.Ambience: This is such a simple,yet beautiful place. The music they play as well, matches the decor. It’s a beautiful addition to am already beautiful place.
Gemelli seems popular with the young upcoming crowd. I read all Zomato reviews of this restaurant and decided to visit it based on the good reviews. We had the Salmon Fish cakes for starters which was really below average. Seeing that the Shellfish Linguine were highly rated I had that and was quite disappointed as the tomato sauce is overpowering the fish completely. My husband had the Lamb Ragu which was very tasty. We had the cheesecake for dessert and it was really good. Waiters are very attentive and our waiter, Wanke, was really very good.The decor is modern and really stunning. Lastly, when the bill came we got charged R200 corkage for one bottle of wine which left us feeling ripped off big time. I really don’t understand why this restaurant get so many 5 star ratings. It must be the decor and vibe (if you are young and upcoming), but to me it is not acceptable to charge such high prices for average food. I really think I could have made better Salmon fish cakes and seafood pasta at home.
