I love the concept of Skoobs. Grab a book, a glass of bubbles or coffee and relax. It’s is a bookworms sanctuary. The coffee shop keeps yummy cakes and light meals. They sometimes have nice specials. Explore the spot, go upstairs. Its simple quick service and good coffee.
I ordered a cappuccino with a dollop of fresh cream , when I finished mixing the fresh cream into my coffee I was left with half a cup of coffee which was sad , especially for the overrated price of R31. Indulging in all the cookery books made up for it.
What an unexpected surprise! This is the perfect place for bookworms and freelancers to have a good meal or snack! The staff went out of their way to accommodate my requests, the restaurant is situated upstairs and customers are allowed to sit with a laptop, any bookwork and/or browse through the store’s books while having something to eat or drink. I had a toasted cheese and tomato with extra cheese (and there really was extra cheese) with a fresh and yummy salad that came with dressing. The food was fresh and tasty and reasonably priced. For an overall experience especially when having some alone time, I definitely recommend Skoobs!
Coming here feels like sipping champagne or drinking coffee in your own private library. The books store it self has all kinds of nooks a d crannies to explore. With a few of Montecasino you can indulge for hours in your favourite spot!
