I prefer indian as a takeout. I dono why but its better at home. This is my local Indian take out and they don’t disappoint at all. They’re pretty good but not outstanding. Reliable, not rushed, the staff are real nice and if there’s ipl on you can watch while you wait. There’s a slight language issue. Meh i don’t care
It was totally worth my while, since I don’t know the area and just wanted some curry and naan. The vindaloo was great and got substantially hotter as I got deeper in the bowl, which I appreciated. I was actually craving naan, so I was a slight bit disappointed with the inconsistent texture of it. This gave it a bit of a less fresh feel and the garlic didn’t really pop, although I could see plenty garlic. All around good meal though and excellent service. Will visit again, thanks
Went there yesterday evening, being a weekday it was less crowded, ordered some starters, soup and curries. The curries and starters were good but sadly the tandoori rotis were cold and seemed like ones which had been re heated and were actually made a few hours back. All in all the rotis were not fresh and spoilt the entire food taste. Got a very cold reply when complained about the same with no replacements being offered (even for courtesy). Not recommended for a weekday if freshness if food is questionable.
Food had an authentic Indian taste and smacked of beautiful aromatic spices. Not a fancy place but the food is a must try. Highly recommend the prawn masala and chapatis. Well done Akshaya Patra!!
