Al Fresco is one of our regular Sunday lunch venues.The food is consistently good and the staff are friendly and attentive.The wine list has some good value for money choices. One example: Big Easy Cabernet Sauvignon – which is incorrectly labeled on the wine list. It is actually a Shiraz driven blend (cab sauv only 20%) but a real bargain at R 140.
The lamb shank was absolutely fabulous! Couldn’t ask for better. Went back there three times without checking their hours first – stupid! Terribly sad since we’ve found them closed every time! Definitely will continue supporting them!

Love this place! Been going here for years, haven’t been since the revamp and new management, but can’t wait to go back. I always have the blue cheese gnocchi, with extra everything. Best blue cheese sauce in joburg!
Used to be a favourite of mine! It is now under new management, building has been renovated and looks lovely! So they reopened yesterday. Wait staff running around, we waited 15minutes for drinks and had to call the waiter to the table twice to place orders. The menu had a few changes, nothing too drastic. Food still delicious, but service could use some work.
