It is rather embarrassing when you take people to a place where you had excellent food previously, you convince them to order your favorite dishes and when it is served it is no where near the expectation. We raved about the wood fired roast chicken with potatoes and the risotto that we had many times before. Everyone ordered just that! Our food arrived not even 5 minutes after ordering- how is this even possible as the entire restaurant was full to capacity? (And we said we did not mind waiting for good food). The portions were very small, one portion had zero potatoes, one had exactly three little bites of potato and one had a generous amount. The salad in a bowl on the plate consisted of only dressed rocket – again one portion had cucumber and carrots included?? Risotto- swimming in water and very unpleasant to eat. Was this just an off night or was it just too busy? We really love this place and would love to come back but consistency is key. Staff friendly and helpful. But based on tonight we will not recommend and certainly not take guests there again.

Great food that is on the more affordable side when it comes to trendy Joburg north restaurants. Great vibe whether you are seated inside or outside. Friendly staff – would recommend.
