I have been working next door the restaurant for 2 years and constantly ordered from them because they were close. I will no longer be ordering from them as their food either arrives soggy or you may order a cheese and tomatoe sandwich without the tomatoe. Being pregnant I also ordered a smoothie in December 2016 which still has not arrived in January 2017. Worst service ever!

The News Room caters for a range of offices around 195 Jan Smuts. I pop in sometimes for a quick smoke and iced coffee and sometimes a ‘quick’ bite to eat.By quick bite, I mean I always order something like a toasted rye bread sarmie. Which can take a while when you are alone, but if the place is fuller and you are sitting with a table full of people, it takes longer. I do however like that they are open to add more things to your meal / sandwich as some places do not allow extras. Their staff is friendly too and their iced coffee is fab.
