Although the environment is great for kids to play, the service is slow and the food not fresh.Kids icescream was inedible and after waiting 45mins they came to say they didn’t have a main ingredient of one of the dishes. Will not come back here again!

Our 2017 year-end lunch was held at the The Green Room at Pirates East. I had never been there before so I was keen to try it out as I had heard some good things about the food.We played a game of bowls before we had lunch. It was a hot day so it was great to be seated outside under the shady trees.Granted that we were a fairly large group of people, but I did find that the service was a little on the slow side – and we had been warned about this beforehand. For lunch, I decided to order the chicken burger that was served with a tomato relish and a side of chips. The burger wasn’t too bad and the chips looked absolutely delicious but they were spongy on the inside – very disappointing especially when they looked so nice and crispy on the outside. For dessert, I settled on the crème brûlée that was served with two cookies and a mixture of berries. I can’t remember the exact name of the dessert. The actual taste of the crème brûlée was divine but it was so disappointing to tap into it and find that it had been frozen, defrosted and then served to us. It was almost as if it had split on the inside. It wasn’t an overall good experience on the food side of things but it may be worth another try!

We had a nice relaxed afternoon. Great food, great company, spent quite a few hours. We paid the bill, before the official closing time and while we were finishing the last of our drinks, the manager, who just arrived rudely informed us to leave. After spending just under R5000!!! Needless to say, we won’t be back!!

I ordered an Americano coffee with hot milk. My coffee arrived Farout quickly but my milk arrived 15 mins later. We were given 2 menus, one with breakfast and lunch and one with lunch and drinks. After deciding what we wanted off the lunch menu we were told that we could only order off the breakfast menu, even though it was 11:00 am. Very disappointed with the service and the running of this place, doubt I’ll be back.
