An Italian gem in Kensington. Really a must go.Real Italian food, owned by authentic Italian owners. The staff together with the owners make you feel really at home.The Carbonara, Seafood Pasta and Porcini Risotto are truly delicious! Also, the polenta with gorgonzola and porcini is simply amazing.
The food is good and the staff are polite and helpful. However, the old man there is so extremely rude. If he did not interact with customers they probably would not be empty at lunchtime.
I have been to Gemas twice and always been incredibly happy. The service is great and to me this is the best Pizza and closest to any Pizza I had in Italy or Croatia. On our first *date night* at Gema’s we had loadshedding and the owner offered us candles which was really adding to the atmosphere. Every slice of prosciutto get;s sliced fresh on order and the portion is never shy. The food is true home cooked Italian style and the little deli is such a nice to have. We will be back!!
Had a marvelous lunch! Food was excellent. Service was great and owner was very precious!! The lamb shank was particularly delicious. We will be back!
