The service at cafe ramonet is beyond terrible, we waited over an hour to get our food and when it finally came the pasta was tasteless and made from a soup packet. When the manager finally came out 2 hours later he came out fighting, and said the food was not bad and we are not regulars thats why we dont know the taste. He then went on to say we should go to the counter restaurants, and was extremely rude with the rest of the people i was there with. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO TO THAT RESTAURANT.

Really not much to say about this place. Coffee is quite good, but other than that don’t bother with the food; bland, disappointing and greatly lacks in flavor. Tried the chicken & mushroom pasta, spicy chicken pancakes and the napolitana (avoid these at all costs), the prego fillet is decent. Service is quite lengthy and food is very overpriced for the quality you receive.
Great vibe, very homely atmosphere. Great service this is really a hidden gem. All the food we ordered was amazing, all with their own unique taste. A must place to visit in the of the Johannesburg cbd. What we had:Steak Prego Roll and Potato Wedges Roast Chicken and Bacon Baguette
