Ming Woo is known for its dim sum, but it’s a great venue to celebrate Lunar New Year from. We booked a table for 10 and had sidewalk seating that offered a perfect view of the New Year parade and fireworks. The manager and staff were very friendly and the food (all 10 courses) seemed to be authentic (no sweet and sour pork/American style Chinese). Ming Woo didn’t serve drinks for the New Year’s dinner but let us bring whatever we wanted to drink. No corkage was charged.
My little experience of how china’s atmospherewould feel like, from the reception you get to the dining and the food. If you want a taste of working class everyday chinese, I think you should go there.
