There seems to be a consistent trend of average at this place. reading below bad reviews it seems the same experience I ordered a dish that i have enjoyed at numerous other places and when it arrived it was cold and just didn’t taste good, when i asked if this is how its always made i was told that people enjoy their food, i’m guessing the same woman from Laurens review below, very rude.At most this place will ever be is average, especially when the south is filled with some really good Portuguese spots that serve great food.
Not bad just average. Venue is ok we were a table of 8 and they accommodated us nicely. Nice pub to have a drink afterwards. I had the prawns of the day special and this ended up being drowned in a white sauce which I hated, fish and chickens were also served on the table it looked good but received mixed reviews. Deserts were good. booze is reasonable
Was here on Sunday for Father’s Day. It was a buffet. Food was nice but all cold, when dishing up there was a dead cockroach on my plate the owner grabbed the plate out my hand without saying sorry and walked away. When dessert was put out my husband and I went to dish up, again the same women (the owner) rudely says do not dish up yet we still need to put the ice cream (PS no please) and walks away. Not happy with the service!
As you enter the place you are welcomed by a magnificent setting, a delightful marriage of paintings on the walls which embraces the Portuguese culture. The menu offers a wide variety of mouth-watering starters. I had the delicious snails dipped in a creamy sauce while my husband had a chorizo.
