Today I wondered around 44 Stanley looking for a pleasant spot for a coffee and light meal at a reasonable price. I ended up at Three Mary’s after also checking the menu on Zomato. I haven’t seen a cappuccino for R19 in a long time. Unfortunately the menu is outdated, the cappuccinos are now R22, which is still reasonable. I had a breakfast burrito, it was rather filling – packed with ingredients. The service was friendly but they managed to mix up my rather simple order, but they fixed it with no moaning.

Popped in for a quick lunch. There isn’t much seating around and it’s definitely more of a deli/takeaway scene. Lots of interesting cookies, sauces etc to browse through while waiting for your meal though. Had the tomato and pepper soup. It was well flavoured and good portion wise. The flatbread it was served with was amazing. Yeasty, slightly sweet – I’ll definitely be back to order something with that again.

Pleasantly surprised by this place after ordering a sandwich via UberEats. I had a panini with ham, pickles and cheese. It was delicious. Crunchy and tasty panini, thick slices of country ham and what tasted like emmenthal. Great lunch.

Perfect spot to stop by if you’re hungry for superb food but don’t have a lot of time. The small cafe stocks ready made sandwiches and treats for take away or you can sit down and enjoy the serenity 44 Stanley provides. Service is warm, friendly and quick. The food is fresh and won’t leave you disappointed!

Found my new favourite burrito spot in Joburg. Lekker place to chill, very relaxed vibe. The chicken burrito was fantastic, not trying for too many flavours. It was filling and all ingredients were fresh
