The place is nor bad. Good spot for chilling with friends as it is usually not crowded, even on busy days at the precinct. The pizzas are not bad, nor are they amazing.
We decided to head to Maboneng on a random Saturday evening, we settled on Chalkboard. The food wasn’t great and neither was the ambiance. The service was quick but that’s because we were the only people there. We had the Meryl Streep. It was ok, nothing to write home about.
Nothing great shakes but nothing bad about Chalkboard. Good pizza and beer. The area is the biggest attraction- great for an afternoon out!!
The place does serve good craft beers, but the choices are limited. We tried the snacks available and chips were extremely salty. Service was just so-so. Maybe the vibe is different in the evenings. But, early evening was a bit of a letdown.
