Absolutely amazing breakfast. I could not fault them on anything whatsoever, the food was fantastic and service impeccable. Highly recommend their oysters, I’m yet to find anything fresher in Jhb.
What a disappointing experience with a hotel that cares only about money and not service. After being offered a complimentary meal the owner made the manager go back on her word all for Saving the money from a meal. After a very mediocre and basic buffet with old fruit , babybel and laughing cow (off the shelf packaged and processed cheese) , sour yoghurt and a poor selection of anything else they also messed up the eggs order and completely overcooked the meal. After alerting the manageress she handled the situation well, apologized , acknowledged the errors were poor and the service was poor and promptly told us the meal was complimentary. We felt happy with how we were handled BUT yet we recieved a Bill at the end of the meal for A lot of money per person. When we mentioned we were confused as we were told it was complimentary the manageress told us that the owner was notified and said that the meal as we found it was by design and that he refused to give it complimentary and the manager should give us a glass of champagne and deduct R15 from each of the meals. That’s less than $1 off each meal. It’s insulting to be given a free meal then charged for it. The owner clearly knows nothing about service and empowering his staff to give world class service. The staff made a good attempt to remedy a situation but clearly the owner believes that saving his Money for the meal was worth losing customers for. What a pity an owner of this hotel has not the first clue about luxury quality.

It was an extremely beautifully set restaurant from the fine interior decor, to the delicious food presented to us under a cloche. Best way to spend a birthday dinner.Ambiance was rather peaceful with the pianist indulging us with soft serene music in the background. Food was elegant with really strong flavors that made you wanting more. Staff were extremely pleasant and attention to detail was evident throughout the evening. Thank you for making my night extra special.
