Today I decided to order from UberEATS, I was feeling for Thai and I’d had Kwan Phayao before. I was really excited because the first time I ate here I ordered their chicken stir fry with oyster sauce, the money bags and gyoza dumplings. The stir fry was the best I’d ever had and the portion size was amazing, the money bags were divine but the dumplings just didn’t do it – way too much ginger for my liking.. this time my order arrived – I had the beef stir fry with oyster sauce – and I was far from impressed. The portion was tiny and you could count the pieces of beef, carrots and bok chuoy in the vast amounts of bean sprouts and rice. The flavor was also lacking and the beef was hard and tasteless. Wont be ordering from here again.
Firstly, I love Thai food. I am always trying different Thai places, and different dishes. I was strolling through 27 Boxes, and happened to come across this Thai takeaway. Although it is a takeaway, there is outside seating availabe. I ordered the red prawn curry, and I was surprised at the amazing flavour. I decided to get a green chicken curry for takeaway to eat later. The rice and curry are packed seperately for convenient heating up. I ate it for supper, and it was the best green curry that I have eaten. I will definately be back to try some of the other dishes. The cost for a meal for two is actually R100, and not as shown.
