Horrible experience.Food inconsistent and nobody cares.Ordered a french toast with strawberry compote and it was served FROZEN AND THE MANAGER ROMEO DID NOTHING ABOUT IT!!!!I suppose for a hospital coffee shop one wouldnt expect any better.
I have to say hospital cafes have improved over the years but still not up to scratch. When in a setting such as this they have the advantage of a captive customer base. This is taken full advantage of with the pricing, which is seriously high, especially in situations of needing to eat three meals a day. My complaints bring me to the meal. Milkshakes were dull, even the hazelnut and chocolate gourmet shake was uninspiring. The toasted chicken mayo needed salt, pepper and even the chillie sauce served with the sad chicken wings, in order to give it flavor. The one serving of chips was amazing but the other plates chips were soggy and drenched in oil. No consistency.
Nice for what it is a restaurant in a hospital. One of better coffee shops I’ve seen in a hospital. Staff very nice and friendly. We had pork sausages there once and they don’t know how to cook it. Was burnt on outside and raw on inside.
At Milpark for a few tests, and decided to try out the Net Cafe. We ordered some cappuccinos, a chicken pie, and a TCM on Rye bread. The chicken pie was delicious, the cappuccinos are decent, but could be a little hotter. The TCM was good with a generous amount of filling and perfectly toasted rye bread. Its a good alternative to the hospital food without going to far.
