This was our second visit. Our previous experience was not great. Food arrived late – and came in drips and drabs. We decided to give them a second chance today – the place was empty again despite it being Father’s Day and other surrounding places being full. The service was slow and poor – the food was very bland. We will definitely not go back there again – we can see now why this place is always empty – even the manager / owner was totally inattentive- didn’t even glance our way – was reading the Sunday paper instead – didn’t bother to look up or greet.
I would give it a higher rating because it’s really solid quality Portuguese food BUT the service is atrocious – the manager took our order; our starter took an hour to come with constant begging and our mains took another hour to come with constant begging and reminding – they ran out of ribs but it took half an hour before she told us and then we had to reorder. We came in at 7:30pm and ate our starter at 8:30 and our main at 9:45!!! There were only 3 of us with an uncomplicated order. It seemed the other waiters weren’t as useless as the manager so if I ever go back I’ll be sure to refuse service from the manager.
