I went to Ratz on Friday night with friends. I really enjoyed myself. I loved that on Friday’s they play throw back music. This bar has a really homey feel to it, I think it’s the couches. I was a little hungry when I arrived so I ordered a boerewors roll. I was expecting the the worse, but it was pretty decent, filling and affordable. The owner was very kind and kept checking on all the customers. He even gave us free shots which was very sweet of him. Our waiter was also very nice, alert and present without smothering us. This bar has an amazing atmosphere that is also very welcoming. They also have great drink specials! I’ve been here before on a Wednesday night for karaoke night. There is a long list of songs to choose from so everyone will find at least one song the like. It’s a really great experience and I recommend it to anyone wanting something different. It’s pretty dark inside so the photos I took aren’t the best. I didn’t want to risk looking like a weirdo by taking a picture of my boerie roll with the flash on.

The crowd is vey much older,laid back not really a dancing place. Was also a bit annoyed because their wifi wasn’t working .I ordered the Ratz Poison and Long Island cocktails both were delicious and strong. I was at hungry at some point and ordered cocktail sausages. They tasted so weird and the meat felt like it wasn’t fresh. I’d love to come back for Karaoke night. But an okay place overall.

Oh wow thin based pizza is amazing, definitely something to return for. Very casual vibe and not the most romantic or beautiful setting. Great for hanging out with friends
