Have had enjoyable dinners at Ritual – but disappointed twice in a row with lunchtime experiences. Unfortunately these were both birthday lunches so doubly disappointing. Samoosas and brisket pregos good , chicken stew bland and unappealing to even look at. Service disinterested and it was made clear that we needed to leave when tables were being reorganized and we weren’t offered dessert. What a pity as we won’t be back.

My husband and I were over at The Whippet (where there was a 20 minute wait) when we noticed Ritual Cafe across the road.Their menu looked great so we decided to have breakfast there. I ordered the poached eggs on a potato rosti and my husband ordered the fry up breakfast.The breakfast was prepared beautifully and very delicious. Their sweet chilli tomato jam is absolutely amazing and offers a different taste combination to the usual breakfast.With an open kitchen, customers can hear everything going on in the kitchen. Our experience was ruined when we heard the chef and his sous chef arguing with each other. This really put us off and we chose to leave soon after.
Awesome little place in the heart of Linden. Had a delicious gnocchi dish here. Food is different yet simple and fresh and cooked to perfection.
